The Ganesh festival was celebrated for the first time this year with great joy and devotion by all the KG kids. They spent the whole week before Ganapati Vacation listening to Ganpati stories, making Ganpati idol and other articles.
The entrance looked magnificent with the idol of Lord Ganesha decorated with a beautifully lit up diya and colourful flowers. The pictures of Lord Ganesha drawn by the kids made the whole ambience pious.

A small Ganpati procession gave the feel of the festival. The ‘Miravnuk’ had a ‘Palakhi’ with a garlanded picture of Lord Ganesha. Kids danced to the beats of Dhol, Tasha, Zanj and shouted ‘ Ganpati Bappa Morya’.

It was good to see all the kids waiting eagerly near the Idol of Lord Ganesha for the Aarati “Sukhkarta Dukhaharta”. When “Prasad” was distributed the smile on the children’s face said it all.
