12th July 2013 saw a shower of awards in our shcool. The school felicitated its outgoing Class 10 students with much fanfare. 35 students (one third of the class) scored above 90% and they were given awards by the noted Advocate Shriniwas Inamati, who is the Vice Chairperson of Karve Institute of Social Service.
Cash prizes in the memory of Late Mr. Dattatreya Kakade were also given to the top rankers and the six students who scored 100 / 100 in Sanskrit.
Front runner, Abhijeet Joshi who scored 97.09% was awarded Rs.10,000, while Rucha Tambe who came 2nd with 96.93% was awarded Rs.5,000. Abhijeet and Rucha also shared their experiences and advice with the current S.S.C batch. “Follow a regulated study schedule. There is no point in joining coaching classes, as the school facilitated practice sessions are more than sufficient to prepare you for the boards” said Rucha. “And most importantly, believe in the school” added Abhijeet Joshi.
It was a very rewarding day for all the school staff as they got to see these children, who have been with them since Kindergarten leave the nest, proudly. “We are already proud of you,” said Director, Arpita Karkare. “Now go forth and make us prouder!”
