Millennium National School realizes the importance of teaching its students why the Guru is important and has kept the lamp of Guru-Tattva alive, year after year. They did this by celebrating Guru Pournima in school on 10th July 2014 among the Kindergarten section.
The KG students were shown the picture of Guru and devotional shlokas were recited. Our teachers provided a brief significance to students as a day to worship Vyasa, the Guru of Gurus and a good time to begin their spiritual lessons. They narrated some stories from the Puranas.
Gurus are often equated with God and always regarded as a link between the individual and the Immortal. Just as the moon shines by reflecting the light of the sun, and glorifies it, all disciples can dazzle like the moon by gaining from their Gurus.
Thus, our students came out understanding how the Guru’s role is carved within them and learn to respect all elders.
