The little boys and girls in the KG section celebrated the events of Navaratri and Dussera in a traditional way.
The preparations of Navaratri started a week ahead where the kids prepared different art pieces like Ravana’s face, decorative elephant and even ‘Apatyache pan’.On 19th October, the kids in their best traditional dresses entered the pre- school to see it all decked-up for the Navaratri celebration.
As a part of Navaratri, ‘Bhondla’ was celebrated with great fervor. The tiny tots enjoyed it thoroughly as they echoed the bhondla songs with their teachers. The classes that day were in a total story mode where the children heard the stories about Dussera. On hearing the stories of Ravana-Vadh by Lord Rama & Mahishasura-Vadh by Goddess Durga, the kids realised why Dussera is also called Vijayadashami.
The last event, but obviously not the least was when the kids performed the Pooja of Goddess of knowledge – Goddess Saraswati with true devotion. Their innocence was observed in the prayers that they offered to the Goddess.
