How Mr. Mark Saul Made Students Love Maths?

Maths is something you either love or hate. Mr. Mark Saul, PhD and an eminent Mathematician who hails from the East Coast, USA, visited our School on 12th December, 2014 and showed us how to fall in love with Maths.

The house was packed with anticipating and excited children. He merely shared his vast experiences and told a story of Maths, starting with the history of astronomy to the different theorems. Whether it was solving Ptolemy’s theorem or the Pythagorous Theorem or Casey’s theorem, it was clear that Mr. Mark Saul had a way of making Maths simple, fun, and easy to understand. Simply because he had so much fun with it.

Interspersed with interesting quizzes and humour, he made Maths learning and concepts a cakewalk. The kids were neither overwhelmed nor bored. They seemed to relate very well with his level of knowledge. He had a knack of gauging the level of the class. He gave the kids a chance to evaluate their Maths level. Constant feedback galvanized the kids and got the Maths juices flowing with “OMG! How easy is that?”
He sure has a way of picking out gifted children with his superb teaching skills!
