Millennium National School

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way!

It was the time to celebrate the Christmas and welcome the New Year at Millennium National School on Friday, 23rd Dec. And since we do all things in a big way, our staff and students definitely know how to throw a great party. The preparations were such that the moment you entered the school you could feel the electrifying atmosphere filled with joy and zest!

There were Christmas decorations all around the school made one week in advance. The Christmas trees, bells, ribbons, sparkling garlands and pictures of Santa had already set the mood. Nice Christmas drawings by students put up on the notice boards added to the zeal.

The KG students totally freaked out on the day of the bash! One could hear the chirping of the tiny tots and the party songs being played in the background. Students were greeting each other and their teachers with “Merry Christmas”es and “Happy New Year”s.

We had arranged some amusement rides for the kindergarteners. There was a Merry-Go-Round, a Toy Train, a Ferris Wheel, a Bounce House and a Horse Cart ride. Students were standing in lines; eagerly waiting for their turn to sit in the ride. There were tattoo artists too who painted colourful tattoos on children’s hands. We also got a goat family and a cow so the students could pet the animals and feed them. Kids were amused to see these animals from so close. We had these so that it could be part of the knowledge gathering for the tiny children, about domestic animals!

The main attraction, however, was the Santa Claus. He was roaming all around ringing his bell, cheering students and shaking hands with them. Santa also handed out balloons, chocolates and whistles. They thoroughly enjoyed yet another fun filled school day. In fact, we may even venture to state that the teachers seemed to be having as much fun as the kids did!

Students were already in a holiday mood as they get the entire next week off. And what better way to begin the holidays than having a fantastic party! The overjoyed faces of the children who simply couldn’t stop smiling is enough to tell us how enjoyable and memorable this day was for them at school.

And later they had a fun meal of cake, wafers, pav bhaaji and Rasna. Then, we had to push them home, as they were not ready to leave!

As usual, our fun fair for the KG children was a whole of fun, and different too!

Wish you all a very happy and a prosperous new year!
